How To Balance Remote and In-Person UX Work
UI/UX design is a field that adapts and translates well to remote work environments—especially compared to many other disciplines. That could be why interest in UX careers grew significantly during the COVID-19 pandemic, when localized or office-based jobs were at higher risk.
But can UX be done truly and fully remotely? When UI/UX teams were compelled to move all their processes online, there were drawbacks to remote UX that emerged as common pain points. In UX Research in particular, a complete absence of in-person research opportunities were difficult for teams to adjust to, and sometimes, it led to compromised research outcomes.
As the world returns to a new version of normal, across domains, remote work is slowly being replaced by hybrid work environments. And while this is a new shift for professionals in all domains, it represents a unique opportunity for designers. That’s because UI/UX design can benefit significantly from hybrid working formats—provided that designers know how to balance remote and in-person activities.
In this Master Class webinar, Cory Lebson will show you exactly how to strike this balance.
You’ll learn:
- The current state of in-person vs remote UX work in the industry
- How considerations change based on the nature and location of your role
- How to approach remote UX research
- How to approach remote UX design
- How to prepare for the near future of UX work
Not only will this help you navigate the changing landscape of work more effortlessly, you’ll develop greater control and flexibility in your career; you’ll develop the confidence you need to carve out the appropriate working environment for your goals and aptitude.
