Meetup Conversation

Hi all! Please use this conversation thread to discuss IxDF online catchup towards 2025 held on Dec 28, 2024. Feel free to ask questions about the place, date and time, agenda of the meeting, or anything else.

Hi Varun,

I’m Anirudh here. I’m a huge fan and learning so much from IxDF. A humble request, can you please hold meet-ups offline, it’ll be of tremendous importance as the content we learn needs to be shared , to learn more and build better - hopefully the best digital devices to help, inspire and use :) If possible please hold it every fortnight, here in Bangalore.

Hey Anirudh, doing this to gauge interest for 2025 so people can share as they want. At times time and distance is too much and becomes a problem for some.

Hi Varun,

Amar here, What is your take on the current state of UX in India? and its potential to grow in the future in all sectors. Are we doing enough research, and ethnographic studies and touching all demographics, being inclusive? Also, can you elaborate on this since Visuals (eyes) play an important part in any physical or digital product, but the backbone of that UI is the UX that has been done before we go on the development stage and why is the UX part of any experience is underrated?

Anyways, I’m assuming it’s not happening because we are closing in on the closing time and nothing is going on.

Hope a meeting happens , next time.

Thank and happy learning & designing in any of your individual subject.

Happy new year in advance:)

Ah, its a very macro question and you’ll hear different perspectives. But two things i can say
1. Almost all designers would want / like more time on UX
2. No, we are not inclusive enough. Accessibility folks can attest to that.
3. UX is not underrated, not at all places, organisations who understand its importance, give it its due.

Meetup attendees

Members can show their interest to attend a meetup by clicking “Attend this meetup” button. In addition, since Local Groups events are open to all, non-members can also attend these meetups.

Members might be bringing their non-member friends to a Local Group meetup (and you’re welcome to do the same), but their non-member friends will not be shown as “attending” because this feature is only available to members.

P.S.: Note that the number of attendees is not an indication of its value! Small meetups work perfectly, and can facilitate deeper, more fruitful conversations.
